CHB Specialist

JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

 

In this role you will be responsible for coordinating all Customs clearance and formalities on behalf of the customer in accordance with all Customs regulations and compliance guidelines.

 

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

 Essential is your ability to:

Ensure the JAS quality system is implemented and maintained within area of responsibility
Prepare, issue and submit documentations to Customs, ensuring proper importation of client shipment
Monitor and file ISF information timely and accurately
Classify and key handling other government agencies as needed
 File prior notices, steel licenses/quota and visa shipments for OGA
Verify with importer tariff numbers and commodities/valuation/currently for documents

 

REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma or GED
Two to three years import/customs brokerage experience
Prior office environment experience
Prior customer service experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Must be self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
Must be detail oriented, have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite

 

PREFERRED:

College degree preferred
