Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.
In this role you will: process and handle ocean import shipments for our customers and providing service solutions that meet or exceed their requirements,oversee the CHB process while ensuring compliance with U.S. and foreign government laws and regulations, maintain responsibility for the completion of all CHB transactions and OGA in a timely manner, to name a few.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
Essential is your ability to:
Receive and track customer booking/orders, send shipping instructions according to customer instructions
Handle and manage all customer contact at file level
Process Customs Entries (classify invoice, file RLF entries, enter electronic invoices)
Own the process for FDA related entries
Review and accurately prepare documentation with accuracy
Transmit information to ABI, verify results and make corrections if necessary
Check Customs release details and ensure any discrepancies are handled properly
Work with sales on account implementation
Manage exceptions and ensure files contain all necessary document copies in proper sequence
Provide accurate job costing forecast
Dispatch freight for delivery
Closely monitor any shipments moving on an I.T. providing release, payment and delivery instructions
Assure Original Bill of Lading requirements are met in a timely manner
High School diploma
Three to five years experience in imports or combination of education and expertise
Experience and knowledge regarding import entry procedures, compliance, rules and regulations is a plus
Good working knowledge of FDA and OGA transactions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Knowledge of ISF and ISF procedures
Knowledge of POA and FPOA entry processes
Knowledge of requirements related to Lacey Act and PPQ form 505
Knowledge of TIB/CARNETS
