JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.
In this role you will: Work closely with the AP Manager to make sure all functions will be completed in a timely manner as well as efficiently. You will assist with numerous process improvements and projects to move the department forward. Serves as a backup to the A/P Manager.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
Essential is your ability to:
The ability to handle full cycle AP which includes but is not limited to: adding vendors, 1099’s, processing outgoing payments, checks (ACH) and wire transfers.
The ability to research files, accounts, and GL codes.
Understand and backup on concur while assisting with changes and expense reports
Process and analyze credit cards
Knowledge and ability of spooling checks
The ability the help research P & L and budgets
The ability to manage overhead
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years AP experience
Must be very proficient in excel
Knowledge of the freight industry
Knowledge of Cargo wise
2 years of completed college courses preferred
