JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.
In this role you will be responsible for monitoring shipment delivery costs, optimizing shipments, project management, and interfacing with Senior Managers. LTL background a plus.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
Essential is your ability to:
Receive, track and trace shipments
Determine the rating of shipments
Coding freight bills
Conduct research in SAP
Ensure courteous customer service
Perform lane analysis
Setting up expedite shipments
Analyze transportation data by lane and make recommendations
Provide weekly-monthly carrier compliance reporting by site
Shipment tracking, obtaining POD’s, and obtaining rate quotes required
Senior liaison and support to SAC Transportation Team
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Transportation a plus
A minimum of five years of Domestic transportation (all modes) experience required
Knowledge of motor carrier contracts, pricing, etcetera.
Critical thinking and operations background
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Google docs and gmail experience
Must be able to demonstrate above average written and oral communication skills
